Closet Therapy

When thinking about my future, my wants, my goals in life, and a career, are some things I had yet to venture towards. Growing up everyone always wanted the same thing: To be a fireman, a police officer, or an actor. Not everyone knows that when you grow up and start figuring out your likes and dislikes, your likes could actually turn into your future. I have been working in retail for what seems like my entire life, but almost six years in the same retail store, is my life. I started working in retail when I was 17, about to graduate high school, and start college in the fall. I graduated, started college, and then dropped out. School was not for me at that time, but work was. I started working full time on the sales floor five days a week. I dressed mannequins, dressed my customers, styled photo shoots for the store, and was given the job of new employee makeovers. I never went to school for a degree, but for some odd reason, everyone wanted my opinion. Customers would call ahead to see if I was at work just to see what I would say about their latest purchases. I loved it. I loved feeling like what I thought mattered and so I decided to take that feeling and create Closet Therapy. Closet Therapy is a business that I, Devin, am starting with nothing but this blog. My vision is vast and my dreams are huge. I want to take a person who needs a little help and advice, clean out all the old washed out things in their closet, and start over. My goal is to show them what they are too afraid to admit, that the closet, and the owner, need just a little help. Everyone has at least one or two items that they absolutely love, but have no idea what to pair them with. That's where I come in. I am honest, and sometimes a little blunt about my opinions, and so far, that works for me. These are the early stages of my future and I cannot wait to show you what I can do.
